Asmara Eritrea - May 20 2008
Today's morning walk is through the Paradizo district of Northeast Asmara. People think I am lost. This area is not a tourist hotspot. I guess it must have been a small paradise in the Italian time: a quiet suburb where Italians established spacious streets and small villa's, all with there own garden with flowering plants and bushes.
For the evening I have an invitation card for a second evening with cultural shows in Cinema Odeon. I am in time to have a seat at one of the first five rows. A friendly man suggests the balcony is a better place for me and directs me to a first class seat upstairs.
