Keren Eritrea - May 31 2008
No rain, no peace. Life is hard in Keren. Today it is hot like usual. Long walks and climbs are therefore self torture, and I spend the day making short walks and long breaks at pavements and bars, drinking lots of mineral water and fruit juices.
I visit the Medeber workshops where men are forge scrap metal into agro tools. They are happy with my interest in their skils, and offer me tea.
When I return to the house, I realize why Hansu asked me what would be the first thing to eat when back in Holland. She cooked my answer: pasta!
